Limestone Dental Associates is offering kids the best treat of all: Cash for candy. As dentists warn parents not to let their children overindulge in the sugary treats they collect on their Halloween adventures, Drs. Nibouar and Annone are putting their money where your mouths are. Their efforts to keep teeth healthy locally will help bring smiles to the faces of our troops abroad as well.
Limestone Dental Associates is proud to announce that their award winning Halloween Candy Buy-Back program is back for the fourth year. The event will be held on Monday and Tuesday, November 1st and 2nd from 3-6 p.m. at their Pike Creek Office. The dentists will buy back childrens unopened candy for $1 per pound, up to 10 pounds per child. Parents must accompany children into the office. Partnering with Stockings for Soldiers, all of the candy collected will be sent to our troops serving overseas. Limestone Dental Associates will also donate toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste to the troops.
Over the past three years Limestone Dental Associates has collected over 3000 pounds of candy. (That's nearly seven million sugary calories!) The donations have not stopped with just candy. Many of the generous Trick-or-Treaters donated their money back to purchase phone cards and help with shipping costs. They even wrote personal letters to our servicemen and women overseas, "You cannot believe how happy I am that I got to give you some Halloween candy! Thanks even more for serving our country! Love, Bridget. P.S. I love you!" This event is becoming a tradition of its own for many locals, and it just keeps getting sweeter.
Now the tradition is expanding outside the Limestone Dental Associates' office walls to involve even more of our local children. Elementary schools throughout the state are jumping in to keep their students healthy while teaching them a valuable life lesson of being charitable. The teacher who has their students bring in the most candy will receive a $100 gift certificate to Borders and a pizza party for their students! If you would like to get your school involved, contact the office for more details.
Limestone Dental Associates is located at 5317 Limestone Road in the Weatherhill Professional Center. The practice led by Drs. Nibouar and Annone brightens the smiles of over 4000 patients locally. Now the smiles of our servicemen and women in Iraq can shine brighter as well, thanks to the generosity of this office. This year instead of a trick for a treat, try cash for your candy and treats for our Troops!
