1 Accord Christian DJ Service was founded by Russell & Renee Hickman of Georgetown, Delaware. We believe that God has called us to minister in music to families, churches, and community organizations looking for that special music to help their event be a success. We are excited about the possibility of serving you in the near future. God bless you all.

We believe in providing good, quality music that will enhance an event. We believe that each customer has the right to have excellent service at a reasonable fee. We believe that God has blessed us with the gift of providing outstanding service.

We thought that we would take the time to express to you what matters to us when it comes to the style of music we play. We know that there are songs out there for all types of people but some songs do not enhance an event and those songs we choose not to include with our play list. We believe that your event should be tasteful and tactful for all your listeners.

We are a Christian DJ Service but we feel confident in playing a variety of secular music because of the content and character that the song may have. Throughout our experiences with having to DJ, we have came across many Christian events that support having Motown music, R&B, country, or classic rock as a part of their play list. What we believe is that the song should be filled with flavor and not distasteful in any way. We will not include songs with profanity or songs that may demeanor a persons race, culture, or gender.

We believe that there is meaning in some secular music and that it can edify an event if necessary. Although we try to provide what music we feel is tasteful, we do accept request for secular music and will review if we will be able to provide that song for the event. Please accept our strong convictions on what we believe God honors with our service.

Selecting Appropriate Music
Have you ever saw a song that had an awesome title but the lyrics in the song weren't at all what you expected?

I'm sure that we all could answer that question with a big YES!!
What is even worse is when you see those songs listed on a sample playlist for a potential client. What I mean is this, you are the client and you are looking for an awesome DJ and you come across a playlist that has some of the hottest titles but the lyrics don't correspond with the message that you want your guest to get from your special day.

1 Accord Christian DJ Service wants you to know that we take pride in selecting songs that not only have a nice title but also can convey a message of love and unity that your guest can love and appreciate. It is essential that you do not give a message that you acquired your spouse through a relationship that went bad or some one night stand. You are trying to present a message of admiration and love.

When selecting a DJ for your special occasion, make sure that you are not getting someone who has copied and pasted the generic list that every other DJ uses, you know the one with the hot titles and inappropriate lyrics. Make sure that you are looking for a DJ that has taken the time to design a list that caters to your special needs. Did you get that? The list will be designed especially for what you need. It is important that your day is treated with priority and careful planning.
