We offer comprehensive eye examinations for the whole family including glasses, contact lenses, treatment of eye diseases, and post-operative management.

It's more than just an eye exam...

A routine eye exam for all ages, on a regular basis, is strongly recommended. The testing of children's vision is especially

important. We recommend regular examinations after the age of three to monitor their development. We want to assure clear vision and early detection of conditions which may adversely affect learning. Adults require yearly examinations to monitor for changes in their eyes such as: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other age related diseases. It is especially important for people with diabetes to have yearly eye examinations, as diabetes is one of the leading causes of blindness. Our participation with most insurances including Medicare helps to keep your costs down.

Your examination at Sussex Eye Center may include tests for the following:

• Personalized case history
• Slit lamp and fundus exam for diseases of the eye
• Near and far visual acuity
• Blood pressure

• Retinal photography
• Laser imaging of the optic nerve and retina
(OCT and GDX) for glaucoma and retinal disease
• Tonography for glaucoma
