Melvin L. Joseph Construction Company began in 1940 with one man (with a sixth grade education), one dump truck, and one shovel. Melvin Joseph was that man, developing his one man dream into a Sussex County business conglomerate. Despite its growth among the East Coast, Melvin L. Joseph Construction Company has maintained its "family owned and operated" tradition since the beginning. The longtime commitment of its founder (Melvin was involved in the daily operations of his construction company until his death) and employees to its clients and community is unsurpassed in this industry.
