Our firm is not like most other financial planning/investment advisory firms. We are an independent advisory firm, with no ties to an Insurance Company or large Wall Street firm. Barnstone Advisors acts as a fiduciary, we are fee only and we do not accept any commissions. As a member of the Financial Planning Association we are commited to upholding the highest ethical standards.
There are two important ways we are different from traditional financial advisors. As a fiduciary, we are obligated to always act in your best interest. Unlike brokers or others who may hold themselves out as “financial advisors”, we won’t just make a recommendation because it is “suitable” We accept a higher burden and only make recommendations if they are in your best interest. In addition, practicing as a fee-only advisor means we do not receive compensation based on products we sell to you. We sell no products. We only sell you our advice. So there are no hidden fees, no hidden agendas.
